Ms. Mitchell is an Italian & New York-trained jewelry designer with an atelier in Aspen, Colorado.
History, culture, ceremonial iconography, form and metamorphosis inspire Ms. Mitchell’s collection of high-karat gold jewelry. Creating language through shape, texture, pattern and color is important in the design of each piece. Exploration of nature and contrast, (combining crude and refined, discovering modernity through antiquity), is a fundamental motivation for Ms. Mitchell’s work.
Karen Mitchell Design jewelry has been exhibited in many of the finest galleries and jewelry stores throughout the country.
